Arrive at Cape Town airport and meet your guide for a private transfer to the Victoria and Alfred Hotel, centrally located just a short walk from the seafood restaurants and artisan shops along the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Few cities in the world can match the beauty of Cape Town, with its splendid setting along the spine of the mountainous Cape Peninsula and the spectacular amphitheater formed by Devil's Peak, Table Mountain, and Lion's Head to the west. The summit plateau provides breathtaking views of Cape Town and the Cape Peninsula, and at night in the summer months, the mountain is floodlit. Discover the spectacular Cape Peninsula, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, and Cape Point itself, where the Cape Point lighthouse stands on top of sea cliffs at the very tip of the African continent. Visit the Boulders Penguin Colony, home to a growing colony of critically endangered African penguins. This morning, take the cable car (weather permitting) up world-famous Table Mountain for incredible views of the city and Table Bay. This mountain is one of the most spectacular urban geographic features in the world and is also an incredible environment for hundreds of species of endemic flora. Descent is also by cable car.
