NEW TRIP
NEW TRIP! This trip is currently under construction with the plan to operate in November 2027 and April 2028. Please let us know you’re interested and we’ll send you the full Detailed Itinerary as soon as it is available.
From the Mediterranean coast to the deep Sahara, this Algerian journey travels through dramatic landscapes to peel back the North African country's layers of history and culture. We begin in the port capital of Algiers, exploring the city's maze-like casbahs, before visiting some of the world's best preserved Roman ruins at Timgad and Djemila and discovering gorge-carved Constantine, the “City of Bridges.” We then head south to Djanet where we'll hike desert landscapes of canyons and oases, finishing with a stay in a full-service Sahara desert camp among towering dunes, sculptural sandstone formations, and vast horizons. Along the way we'll meet with local artisans and farmers, like embroiderers and cheesemakers, who offer us an intimate look at daily Algerian life.
