Raquel Muñoz

Raquel's passion for nature and the mountains led her to move from her native Madrid to northern Spain more than 15 years ago. The Cantabrian Mountains and the local culture and history of the local villages occupy a special place in her heart, and she loves sharing her passion and extensive knowledge of the area with hiking groups. Besides guiding, Raquel has worked in government programs aimed at empowering African women in disadvantaged situations, and immerses herself in the culture and mores of other countries. When not guiding, Raquel operates an English language school where, in addition to teaching students of all ages, she leads environmental workshops to promote respect and care of nature.
