Makis Logiotatidis

Makis, a native of Thessaloniki, began his outdoor career in 1999 as a ski instructor with the Greek Alpine Club. In 2001, he traveled to Austria where he worked as a seasonal ski instructor and mountain guide, receiving certification from the Austrian mountain guide association and becoming a member of the Austrian Ski Instructors Federation of Salzburg. Makis returned to Greece in 2004 and has continued to work there ever since, leading mountain treks in the summer and working as a ski patroller at the Vasilitsa ski area of Greece in the winter. He lives in the Pindos Mountains, his favorite place in the world, and is married with a daughter. His interests include photography, mountain sports, and local history.
