Fly from Arusha airport to the Central Serengeti, taking in views of the Great Rift Valley, Ngorongoro Crater and the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. You’ll spend the rest of the day on a game drive in the Serengeti, enjoying a picnic lunch in the bush and arriving at your private camp for sundowners around the fire.

Serengeti National Park is home to the largest annual animal migration in the world—each year, over 1.5 million wildebeest and over 200,000 zebra roam the plains in all directions. The park itself is 5,700 square miles, with open plains in the south, acacia-dotted savanna in the center, and black clay plains to the west. Each day on the Serengeti is new and different, and your leaders will organize game walks when it best fits into the itinerary.

From winding, crocodile-infested rivers and marshes to rolling hills to grassy plains that stretch as far as the eye can see, the Serengeti feels as vast and uncharted as the open ocean. Millions of migrating ungulates like wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, eland, and impala form the traveling market of the Serengeti that feeds predators like lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, fox, and badger. And you might spot some of the region’s extensive birdlife, including the woolly-necked stork, the southern ground hornbill, and the Egyptian vulture. Fly back from Serengeti to Arusha. Evening transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departure on homeward-bound flights...BL
