From Kathmandu, take a spectacular one-hour mountain flight for views of a Himalayan panorama ranging from Kanchenjunga (28,208') in the east to Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri in the west. The highlight is a marvelous view of the pyramid-shaped summit of Mt. Everest, the world's highest peak at 29,028 feet. The one-hour flights are typically aboard an 18- to 20-passenger pressurized aircraft. All seats provide equally good viewing opportunities, with the mountains in view on the left side of the plane for the eastward leg of the journey, and then in view on the right side for the return westward leg. Flights depart in the mornings only, and we recommend booking it during your second full morning in Kathmandu.
