Hotel Bäckaskog Castle

The Bäckaskog Castle was originally a grand 13th century monastery and later became a castle for Charles IV, king of Sweden and Norway from 1859 to 1872. Today it is a welcoming hotel with a bucolic setting between two lakes. It is surrounded by park-like grounds and has an excellent restaurant. Please note that the guest rooms are on the third floor and there is no elevator.
