Yajuvendra grew up in New Delhi, where frequent treks in the Himalayas sparked an early passion for the wilderness. After studying tourism, he began a career in wildlife and conservation, spending a decade as a naturalist in Kanha National Park in Central India. But the mountains have always called him back, particularly the high-altitude landscapes of Ladakh and the wildlife and people who call them home. Visits that began in 2011 grew into an annual winter tradition, and eventually into leading expeditions in search of some of the region’s most elusive wildlife, including snow leopards, wolves, ibex, and Pallas’s cats. His deep knowledge of animal behavior adds insight to every landscape and wildlife encounter he shares with guests.
