Morten Johansen

Morten is an expert Trip Leader who has explored some of the world’s most wild places—from crossing Greenland’s ice cap (five times!) to guiding high-altitude adventures in the Himalayas, Andes, Caucasus, as well as Africa, Morocco, and throughout Norway's dramatic landscapes. With a master’s degree in pedagogy, Morten brings a thoughtful, educational approach to his trips, sharing his deep knowledge of nature and ecology with travelers. Known for his keen eye, he delights in pointing out the small details that bring vast landscapes to life. When he’s not guiding, you can often find him hunting with his dog, hiking, skiing, and enjoying a quiet mountain life in Norway with his family—tending his chickens and vegetable garden.
