Florencia Savanti

Florencia "Flor" was born in Argentina, and her love of the outdoors took root when she worked as a researcher in the wilderness of Patagonia for 15 years. Today she is Trip Leader and anthropologist, and has led community-based anthropological projects across the Basque Country, as well as women's literacy and empowerment programs in the Karakorum Mountains of Pakistan and the arid steppes of Northern Patagonia. Flora loves sharing her deep knowledge of the Basque countryside and culture. When she's not guiding, she is a yoga and mindfulness instructor and serves as a hospitalera (volunteer at albergues) on the Camino de Santiago.
