Chile Tours

From Granite Peaks to Glacial Lakes

Chile is an immense western slice of South America—packed with dizzying landscapes and wildlife both on- and off-shore. You could spend an entire lifetime exploring its archipelago, from puma-tracking in Torres del Paine National Park to hiking the dramatic features of Tierra del Fuego. Pair these highlights with stops in Argentina on our ultimate Patagonia adventure, or choose from one of many seafaring journeys, whether cruising the nearby Chilean fjords or the farther afield South Pacific.

Community & Conservation

Wilderness Travel trips to Chile support Rewilding Chile, formerly Tompkins Conservation Chile, a leading conservation organization dedicated to protecting and restoring wilderness in Patagonia. Founded by Kris and Doug Tompkins (Kris was a guest speaker at WT’s 2018 Patagonia Symposium), the organization focuses on large-scale ecosystem management, establishing seven new Chilean national parks in recent decades, including Pumalín, Cerro Castillo, and Parque Patagonia. They’ve also helped reintroduce endangered native species like the Andean condor, huemul deer, and puma into the parks. Donations go toward conservation projects like species protection, trail maintenance, scientific research, and habitat restoration.
