Hector’s passions are history and research, particularly the collection of oral traditions and archaeoastronomy, the investigation of the astronomical knowledge of prehistoric cultures. As a child, he learned about his culture through the teachings of his parents and the oral traditions and customs handed down for generations through his family. Hector received a degree in cultural tourism and has completed several first aid and mountain rescue courses. He speaks Spanish, Quechua, English, and Portuguese. In the Quechua language, his surname means “sacred fire.”
