Oberoi Amarvilas

The Oberoi Amarvilas has well earned its long lists of awards and accolades, and it's the place to stay in Agra. Located less than a half-mile from the Taj Mahal, you can't find a hotel any closer, and each guest room has a marvelous view from its balcony of the Taj rising above a blanket of green trees. The hotel's sandstone arches, manicured gardens, and serene pools and fountains reflect the opulent style of the Mughal emperors. This is an incredible place to return to after a day of exploration at the Taj and Agra's other sites.
