THE U.S. DOLLAR ROARS BACK!

We priced our 2009 journeys in the late spring of 2008, when the US Dollar was at a historic low. Since September, the US Dollar has had an impressive run, strengthening as much as 22 percent against the Euro and even more against other world currencies. We would like to pass the savings along to you! Our currency discounts can be as much as $900 per person, depending on the rate the day you call.

Here's how it works: When you call and sign up, we'll purchase the relevant currency (Euros, Rand, etc.) for your trip that same day. This locks in the favorable currency rate—and guarantees your savings, no matter how many months away your trip dates are. For trips booked with a currency discount, the first deposit ($500) is non-refundable. (Frequent Wilderness Travelers note: you can combine this discount with your usual Toucan Discount for even more savings!)
