We have been on multiple trips with Wilderness Travel and have always had great experiences. The guides are knowledgeable, friendly and go out of their way to make sure your trip goes smoothly. Many of our trips have been centered around hiking and we've always felt the itineraries were well thought out and appropriately challenging.
Exploring the South Island of New Zealand on a hiking trip was the best way to be introduced to this beautiful country. The hiking sometimes challenging, beautiful, exhilarating and fun. I met new friends and we are planning a future Wilderness Travel trip together. Also, our local guides were honest, good natured, handy as our 'Chaos Catering' team, and knowledgeable. I think about this trip often and how much I enjoyed it.
Our group has taken three hiking trips with Wilderness Travel. Each trip has been very different. Each of our leaders has had his or her own personality and strengths.
