Botswana Wildlife—Mobile Safari Camping
Chobe National Park (Savuti Channel and Serondella areas), Botswana
Our Botswana Safari is a true Hemingway-style mobile safari where we wend our way slowly north from Maun to Victoria Falls accompanied by the same camp crew and camping equipment throughout. Our private campsites offer relaxing solitude and an authentic bush atmosphere while still maintaining a great deal of comfort. We sleep in walk-in canvas tents, approximately 10 by 14 feet, and furnished with beds, duvets, pillows, and a small bedside table. At each tent’s rear door are a separate warm-water shower tent and a toilet tent, and at the front is a small veranda with two wooden chairs, a small table, and a washbasin. Battery-powered lights provide illumination. Our camp is fully catered, with three-course meals, including wine and soft drinks, prepared daily by our camp chefs. Laundry service is included. When we move camps every two to three days, the camp crew breaks down the camp after we depart, and then while we are out on enjoying the fantastic wildlife, they go ahead in a large 4WD truck to set up the new camp before our arrival.
