Europe

Pilgrim trails, hilltop villages, rolling vineyards, the snow-capped Alps, traditional cultures—Europe is a hiker’s paradise! Our award-winning collection of hand-crafted European hiking trips is unmatched, with journeys in more than 30 European nations. Come explore Europe on foot—the Wilderness Travel way!

Latin America

South America was where it all began for Wilderness Travel back in 1978, and our heart has never left this wondrous realm. Hike the stone-built Inca trails to Machu Picchu, explore Chile and Argentina’s magnificent Patagonian landscapes, and trek in the high Andes.

Asia

If you’ve dreamed of gazing at the highest peaks in the world or visiting villages so remote they can only be reached on foot, then experience Asia with us! From Bhutan to Tibet to Nepal, our trips run the gamut, from easy hikes with lodge overnights to multi-day treks in wildly remote realms, and they are all packed with cultural encounters to savor for a lifetime.

Pacific

Hiking is the ultimate way to experience the wild “down under” beauty of Tasmania and New Zealand’s mountains. In Japan, we discover a culture steeped in thousand-year-old traditions as we hike pilgrim trails to serene mountain temples.

Africa

Hiking in Africa? Yes! We’ve crafted world-class trail adventures on this continent, including an epic climb of magnificent Mt. Kilimanjaro, a trek through welcoming Berber villages in Morocco’s High Atlas, and the thrill of gorilla tracking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
