South Africa Discovery

Cape Coast, Drakensberg Mountains, and the Big Five

South Africa’s beauty is legendary, from the Cape Peninsula to the mighty Drakensberg mountains and game-rich savannas of Greater Kruger. We’ll experience it all on this active adventure, hiking on iconic Table Mountain, on the spectacular Cape Coast, and through the Drakensberg (“Dragon Mountains”), where we’ll find San rock paintings. In Timbavati, with its unfenced boundary with Greater Kruger, we’re on the lookout for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo—Africa’s Big Five—on a thrilling safari. Boutique lodgings, a wonderful range of activities, and great wines and cuisine make this trip superb in every way.
