Overview
Hike stone-paved trails to mystical Tengboche Monastery, head higher still to the base camps of Ama Dablam and Everest, and gaze across the iconic Southwest Face of Mt. Everest from the trekkers’ peak of Kala Patthar (18,365'). An adventurous hike across the snow-covered Cho La Pass brings us into the stunning Gokyo Valley, with its turquoise lakes. In this sublime setting, we head to the top of Gokyo Ri (17,500') for a famous panorama: four of the six highest peaks on Earth—Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu—in one view. This is a superb Himalayan adventure, and all without camping! Family-owned Sherpa lodges and our private cook crew keep us comfy.
The Trip Leader had great knowledge of the Everest region and strong relationships with the Sherpa people. This was a life-changing trip of a lifetime! The all-time best trip ever!
