Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt found the perfect spot for their summer home, which is now preserved as a museum and nature reserve. We'll experience the magic of their beloved spot in two of the on-site cottages that have been refurbished, giving us an exclusive insider's experience of this renowned presidential retreat. We'll stay in either the Prince Cottage or the Hubbard Cottage, both featuring 19th century furnishings, modern Canadian comforts, and the overall feeling of sharing a large home with friends (It's an old tradition to call summer homes ‘cottages' no matter how grand they are!). Parts of the downstairs living areas in the Hubbard Cottage are roped off from tourists during the day, but we'll have access to them in the evenings—an exclusive treat! Prince Cottage has a deck looking out over the bay, a bar, and a large dining room. Each of our guest rooms include private en-suite bathrooms.
