Victor Safari John

Victor Safari John was obviously born to be a guide having “Safari” as his middle name! Born in 1980, he grew up in the Mbulu area, near Karatu, where his ancestors are said to have migrated from Ethiopia. Victor trained in computers at university before realizing that he could make his passion his job and switched to train as a Tour Guide. Initially as a mountain guide, Victor led guests on treks to Kilimanjaro, Meru, Lengai and even Mt Kenya, for climbing company, Nature Discovery. After a few years he began leading trips into the bush and has now worked in this field for the past six years. When he has time to spare, Victor enjoys exploring East Africa, swimming, bird watching and following soccer on the television, especially when Chelsea, his favorite team is playing.
