Okahirongo Elephant Lodge
Purros Conservancy, Namibia
Okahirongo Elephant Lodge is located in the Purros Conservancy, about 25 miles from the Skeleton Coast. Possibly one of the most remote lodges in Namibia, it consists of a cluster of terracotta buildings positioned to make the most of the grand views over the rugged Purros Valley. Each of the seven guest units looks out over the boundless wilderness and has an en suite bathroom with an inviting bath tub and two showers (one of which is outdoors). Each unit also has a private gazebo with day beds for ‘chilling out’ in the shade or star gazing in the evening. Meals are served in one of the two airy dining rooms. The menu changes daily, with many of the fresh ingredients grown on site.
