Amy Barnes

Amy Barnes was raised between Europe and Turkey until the age of seven. After studying Liberal Arts at the University of Florida, she returned to Europe in 1978 and settled in the historic center of Florence in 1979. She has designed a number of itineraries for Wilderness Travel, including our Italian lake district hikes, and has a parallel career in television as a production manager, working for the BBC and recently for The Discovery Channel. With an abiding enthusiasm for all things Italian, Amy loves sharing her insights and knowledge of her home country.
