Best of Holland and Belgium

7 Nights from Amsterdam along the Dutch and Belgian Waterways

Sail through Holland and Belgium where world-renowned art museums, scenic canals, and historic landmarks meet contemporary cafes and innovative, modern design. Visit Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, and Antwerp—a popular hub for fashion moguls and art lovers. Dutch treasures are plentiful throughout your journey as you witness the historic windmills of Kinderdijk, the immense De Haar Castle, Holland’s oldest city, Dordrecht, and the Museum Speelklok with its wonderful world of self-playing musical instruments. While in Belgium, discover charming Ghent and Bruges, explore the Castle of the Counts, and step back in time to World War II’s Battle of the Bulge, the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the culinary delights these countries have to offer including warm Belgian waffles, Zeeland oysters, and hearty craft beer.

You may take a walking or biking tour through the port town and cultural hub of Ghent, known for its spectacular medieval architecture. Or, you may choose to head out for an all-day tour of Bruges, the “capital of West Flanders,” to see sights such as the impressive Church of Our Lady and the Bonifacius Bridge (the Bridge of Love). For the history buffs, choose a tour of the Castle of the Counts of Flanders, built in 1180.

Day 5

Belgium’s capital city, Brussels, features a wide range of architectural styles from regal 19th century mansions to medieval plazas. Join a tour of this fascinating city today or opt, instead, to go on a Belgian chocolate tasting tour. You may also choose to take a full-day Battle of the Bulge tour with a Trapist beer tasting, a full-day castle tour, or a full-day guided bike ride.
