Overview
Experience the extraordinary natural beauty of Baja's pristine wilderness while enjoying luxury "camping" with real beds, soft linens, lovely furnishings, chef-prepared meals, and daily happy hour! On this Private Journey, we feature two of Baja California's most beautiful settings: the Sierra de La Laguna Biosphere Reserve in the mountains of the Baja Peninsula, and Isla Espíritu Santo, a UNESCO-protected wilderness island in the famously translucent waters of the Sea of Cortez. In the Sierra de La Laguna, the camp is on a private ranch that has been in the same Baja family for six generations. Enjoy hikes from camp, dips in watering holes, and picnics by waterfalls. Camp guests have plenty of opportunities to interact with the ranch family and watch them hand-make cheese, tortillas, and other delights in the traditional manner. On the wilderness island of Isla Espíritu Santo, enjoy an award-winning luxury camp set along azure waters and set out for snorkeling and kayaking among schools of colorful reef fish, sea turtles, and sea lions. At both camps, delicious meals are prepared on site by the camp chef and you make your own choice of daily activities, whether it’s hiking, fantastic birding, snorkeling, or kayaking. You’ll be accompanied by your own private guide throughout the duration of the trip, and if your group size is six or above, you are guaranteed to be the only travelers at both camps. Join us for a relaxing, fun, and unique adventure for groups of friends and multigenerational families. It’s got something for everyone, even those who just like to relax and enjoy the outdoors in comfort!
The trip was a a really great diversity of locations and activities with lots of flexibility to change plans on the fly.
