Chongwe River Camp

Lower Zambezi River, Zambia

Chongwe River Camp is a deluxe wildlife lodge at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chongwe Rivers, favorite wilderness haunt of explorer David Livingstone. The camp features spacious thatched chalets with twin or double beds and private open-air en suite bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. In addition to your own private veranda, the elegant bar, lounge, and dining room have spectacular viewing decks for watching the sunset on the river. There are no fences around Chongwe River Camp, so animals are free to roam and they have the complete right of way. You won’t even need to leave the camp to see and hear a wide variety of wildlife! Chongwe was recently featured in Architectural Digest and was on Condé Nast Traveler's 2007 “Hot List.”
