The region is noted for its full-bodied Cabernet, Carménère, Syrah, and Malbec wines.

Day 1
Santiago

Arrive in Santiago, where you are met for a transfer to your hotel. This afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Santiago, visiting the historic Plaza de Armas, National History Museum, the Casa Colorado, once the residence of the colonial governor, and the stylish Providencia district. Day 2
Colchagua Valley Wineries

Meet your English-speaking guide for a private drive to the Colchagua Valley, one of Chile’s finest wine districts, about 2.5 hours from Santiago. Enjoy a visit and wine-tasting at the Casa Silva, one of the oldest vineyards of the valley, whose wine cellars are considered among the most beautiful in Chile. Lunch at the Viña Viu Manent, a winery nestled in the green hills of the valley. In the afternoon, visit the lovely Colchagua Museum in Santa Cruz, with its paleontology collection, pre-Columbian and Mapuche art, colonial exhibits, and antique carriages, riding gear, and wine-making implements. Day 3
Colchagua Valley Wineries

Enjoy another full day in the Colchagua Valley to enjoy world class wines. We begin at Viña Montes, whose steep hillsides provide grapes for the “Montes Alpha M,” “Montes Folly,” and “Purple Angel” labels. Its modern wine cellar was built and furnished according to the principles of Feng-Shui. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, continue to MontGras, where, with the help of an expert, you can create your own unique wine blend, bottle it, and take it home.
