From Bratislava to Prague

Country Walks, Medieval Towns, and an Old World Culture

Trip Level

This trip is Level 2+, Easy to Moderate. Most days include 2.5 to three hours of hiking, while some days involve a half day or more of exploring one of the towns on foot. For maximum enjoyment, you must be in fit shape and ready to walk. Our luggage is transported for us by van, so it is always possible to ride in the van if you want to opt out of a day’s hiking.

Although hotel rooms in Europe are not always of uniform or international size, our Trip Leaders try their best to assign rooms in a fair way so that all participants experience an equal advantage throughout the trip as a whole.

Please note that in Europe, the dinner hour is considerably later than what it is in the US. We do our best to secure early reservations for our groups, but most often the evening meal will be at 7:30 pm.

The weather in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in summer is usually very mild and pleasant, with temperatures in the 60Fs and 70Fs during the day, and in the 50Fs and 60Fs at night. Cooling breezes and showers can occur on any trip. It’s a good idea to check weather on the web prior to departure.
