Pete Ndlovu

Pete Ndlovu is a Hwange specialist, born and raised near Hwange National Park in an area where subsistence farming often comes into conflict with wildlife. A fascination with nature around him became the driving force of his life, and he achieved his first professional Zimbabwe guide's license in 2016. Pete has a fantastic knowledge of the terrain, typography and wildlife, and in addition to big game, he's passionate about birds and the medicinal uses of herbs in the Hwange region. He has a favorite animal: the elephant. “I love watching them in the water, seeing the youngsters learning how to use their trunks. They are always amazing. Plus, the elephant is my family totem, the Ndlovu!”

Pete was absolutely fantastic! He is warm and friendly and has the most infectious laugh and sense of humor. Absolutely charming. He was so well educated on all aspects of the animals and birds. We learned so much! Pete naturally engaged everyone in conversation and created a very friendly environment for our group members to establish friendships. I can't imagine a better guide!
