David Kelly

David Kelly, from England, arrived in Iceland some 16 years ago, drawn by a fascination for glaciers and volcanoes. He says that on his arrival by boat in east Iceland, he knew this was to be his home. Sure enough, within three years he was a permanent resident (and gained the Icelandic nickname Kelso). Kelso has guided in all corners of Iceland, sharing his enthusiasm for this raw, untamed wilderness. Photography, geology, and early Icelandic history are his specialties, but his wealth of knowledge of all things "Iceland" means that he can satisfy anyone's thirst for knowledge of this fascinating country. He lives in Seltjarnarnes (Iceland's smallest town) with his partner and their three children.
