Fernando Escudero

Fernando, or “Nano,” is a native of Salta, a mountainous province in Northwestern Argentina. He discovered his passion for outdoor adventure at a young age while biking and hiking throughout Argentina’s incredible landscapes. As a teenager, he biked across the Cordillera de los Andes twice. After working as an industrial engineer, Nano’s career shifted to Adventure Tourism in 1995 when he founded Argentina’s first horseback riding company offering rides in Patagonia, Salta, and the Andes. He later became Coordinator of the Tourism Promotion Institute of the Province of Salta. He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) and president of the Unir Foundation, which helps rural schools throughout Salta. Fernando says his dream is for the world to discover Salta and its unique landscapes that are unlike anything else on the planet. He especially loves sharing Salta’s culture, cuisine, and traditional music—which are all unforgettable experiences for everyone.
