Dorji

Dorji (it is common in Bhutan to use just one name) has been a professional guide in Bhutan for years and has been guiding for WT since 2015. He was born in a small village outside of Punakha and earned a degree in finance from Bhutan’s Gaedu College of Business Studies. His collegiate research on the impact of the tourism industry, along with issues of food waste and sustainability, sparked his interest in guiding and sharing Bhutanese culture. He loves meeting travelers and introducing them to the cultures and traditions of Bhutan. When he's not guiding, Dorji is active in a number of social service organizations. He’s also an avid soccer player. In 2007 he proudly represented Bhutan in the Asian U-19 football qualifying match held in Qatar.
