Optional Extensions

“I’ll be traveling halfway around the world. What else should I do while I’m there?” That’s a question we hear often from our guests. Depending on which itinerary you chose, there are a variety of great options for customizing your adventure.

If you’re traveling on our Magical Madagascar itinerary, consider including Isalo National Park, where you will hike amid surreal landscapes to a spectacular hidden waterfall, get great photos of ring-tailed lemurs, and visit the park’s museum, with its excellent displays of the geologic formations and endemic plants.

If you choose Madagascar: Off the Beaten Path, consider including Ankarana and Amber Mountain National Parks, where you can explore Madagascar's northern reaches and their vast diversity of wildlife including lemurs, ring-tailed mongoose, and more than 1,000 species of flora.

With either itinerary, if you love wildlife you might want to track down more endemic species on a Seychelles cruise, join a ranger-guide for the exhilarating experience of observing mountain gorilla clans in Rwanda, or consider balancing out all that wildlife with some time in Cape Town, Africa’s most vibrant city.

We’re pleased to offer the following trip extensions:
