This incredible journey combines Photoshop workshop sessions with renowned Photoshop guru Ben Willmore and cultural exploration in Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. As we enjoy the photogenic settings and cultural treasures of Indochine with veteran Trip Leader Max Holland, Ben Willmore will conduct comprehensive presentations on shooting methods and techniques to enhance your images via the wonders of Photoshop, helping you take your images to the next level. Ben’s expertise in shooting for Photoshop and post-shooting studio techniques has changed the world of digital photography for the many photographers who have attended his worldwide workshops or read one of his celebrated instructional books.

Itinerary at a Glance

Days 1-2
Luang Prabang, Laos

In Luang Prabang, an ancient royal capital, we stroll the atmospheric streets, explore temples dating to the 15th century, boat up the Mekong River to visit a Buddhist pilgrimage site, and meet Hmong hilltribes. Photoshop Session #1: Shooting & Composition Basics.

Days 3-5
Hanoi, Vietnam

In this elegant capital in the Red River Delta, we explore and photograph a wealth of wonders, from the 15th century Old Quarter to the impressive Temple of Literature and enjoy a people-watching walk around Hoan Kiem Lake. Photoshop Session #2: Basic Image Processing.

Day 6
Halong Bay

Halong Bay is a magnificent World Heritage Site of stunning rock formations and limestone islands. We cruise this ethereal setting in our private traditional junk, with an overnight in Halong Bay town. Photoshop Session #3: High Dynamic Range Imaging.

Days 7-8
Hue

In Hue, Vietnam’s ancient cultural capital, we visit the majestic Royal Tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, journey by private "dragon boat" up the Perfume River, and roam the Dong Ba Market. Photoshop Session #4: Selections & Masking.

Days 9-10
Hoi An

A coastal drive bring us to the ancient trading port of Hoi An to explore and photograph its 16th century Chinese, Japanese, and European architecture. Photoshop Session #5: Tonal & Color Adjustments.

Days 11-14
Angkor Wat, Cambodia

After Photoshop Session #6: Creative Techniques, we fly to Cambodia to explore Angkor Wat, a magnificent monument to Khmer civilization and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with hundreds of intricately carved temples scattered across a tropical landscape. Depart from Siem Reap on the afternoon of Day 14.
