Days 1-2
Cape Town / The Winelands

East of Cape Town lie the Winelands, an area of scenic valleys with beautiful old vineyards and gracious Cape Dutch farmsteads nestled in rugged lofty mountains. This area is home to South Africa’s oldest wineries (most of the original vines were brought here more than 300 years ago). After a transfer from Cape Town to your delightful luxury lodge in the heart of wine country, enjoy a private winery tour and taste some of the region’s best wines while staying at a magnificent country manor house. The region is also noted for its excellent restaurants. Accommodations are at Franschhoek Country House, located near the picturesque town of Stellenbosch (First Class Option), or the elegant Grande Roche in historic Paarl in the lush heart of Cape Winelands (Deluxe Option).
