Snorkeling and Sea Kayaking in Palawan
Days 13-15
Dimakya Island
From Manila, fly to Busuanga Island and transfer to Club Paradise Resort on Dimakya Island, a coral jewel set in an emerald sea. Crystal-clear waters allow for great visibility on our snorkeling outings, with a biodiversity including giant clams, sea sponges, huge coral beds, stingrays, manta rays, and swirling throngs of multi-colored tropical fish. Dimakya’s rich, grassy seabed is an ideal feeding ground for the endangered dugong (a cousin of the manatee). With luck, we will see dugongs in this area. We may also try a night snorkel to search for nocturnal reef creatures. A hike around the island grants us great birdwatching opportunities.
Day 16
Dimakya Island / Manila
After a morning snorkel around Dimakya Island, we fly to Manila, arriving in the early evening. In Manila, connect with US-bound flights.

Dimakya Island, Philippines
This is truly an "island paradise" in the sense that the resort owns the entire island. The protected terrestrial and marine habitats of this place make a gold mine for avid naturalists. On our first day here, we arrive and immediately suit up for a snorkel excursion just five minutes away. Jump out, grab lunch, jump back in—and the dugongs abound! We stay in comfortable air-conditioned beachfront cottages with private verandas.
Note: Listed above are our signature accommodations for this trip. Although it is highly unlikely, we may make substitutions when necessary.
