Day 1
Queenstown / MacKenzie Lodge
The famed Routeburn Track is one of the great hikes of the world! In three superb days of hiking, enjoy spectacular alpine landscapes, native beech forests, snow-capped peaks, and crystal-clear rushing rivers. Transfer to the trailhead, meet your team of Routeburn hiking guides, and set out for a 5-hour hike through ancient forest draped in moss and lichen to the MacKenzie Lodge.
Day 2
Routeburn Falls Lodge
Today’s hike is the hardest but the most spectacular. Hike out of the MacKenzie Basin and up across the Hollyford Face, enjoying panoramic views across Fiordland National Park, then make the steep descent to the Routeburn Falls Lodge, with a total hike of five to seven hours. Lunches on the hike are picnic-style, with supplies from the lodge, and hot drinks are available at all lunch stops. Overnight at the Routeburn Falls Lodge.
Days 3
Queenstown
After a leisurely morning to enjoy the setting, a gentle descent of about three or four hours brings you down to the lovely meadows of Routeburn Flats, then return to Queenstown for a farewell dinner. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4
Depart
Transfer to the airport for departing flights.
