Everest Private Journey
Days 1-7
Everest Private Journey Itinerary
Days 8-9
Dingboche / Exploration Day
Continuing along the main route to Everest, hike up the valley toward the massive wall of Nuptse and Lhotse to arrive at the spectacularly situated village of Dingboche (14,100'). The next day, there are numerous hiking options, including the classic day hike to the small settlement of Chukhung (15,584'), surrounded by a number of massive glaciers and moraine fields.
Days 10-11
Lobuche / Everest Base Camp
Enjoying views of the north face of Cholatse (21,125'), ascend steeply up the Khumbu Glacier’s terminal and lateral moraines to the yak grazing pastures at Lobuche (16,200'). After hiking to Gorak Shep, you can take an optional hike to Everest Base Camp (17,600'), which offers an incredible view of the Khumbu Icefall.
Day 12
Kala Patar / Lobuche
Today is the much-anticipated ascent of Kala Patar (18,365')—“Black Rock”—the highest point of the trek. This is the classic close-up view of Everest, a magnificent vista taking in its entire South Face and most of the West Ridge. Kala Patar offers the best view you’ll get of Everest without climbing it! Trek back to Lobuche for overnight.
Day 13
Pangboche
A long hike down the Imja Khola brings you to Pangboche (12,660'), with its 300-year-old gompa, the oldest in the Khumbu.
Days 14-19
Continue Everest Private Journey Itinerary
Days 14-19 follow the remainder of the Regular Itinerary (Days 9-17), starting with a hike to Tengboche on Day 14. Return to Kathmandu on Day 17, explore the city on Day 18, and depart on Day 19 (or join one of our post-trip extensions).
