Day 1
Malindi / The Driftwood
A one-hour charter flight brings you from Nairobi to Malindi, an ancient yet cosmopolitan town on the shores of the Indian Ocean. You will be met upon arrival and transferred to The Driftwood, a charming small resort right on the beach. Overnight in a cottage at The Driftwood...LD
Days 2-3
Malindi / The Driftwood
These days are at leisure to enjoy the many activities offered at The Driftwood, which include deep-sea fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling, windsurfing, kite-surfing, water skiing, and bird watching on the Sabaki Delta or in the Arabuko-Sokoke forest, a stunning primary forest about a half-hour drive from Malindi. A short ride away is Malindi itself, rich in Swahili culture and historical sites including the Gedi ruins and Malindi old town, whose streets and squares are home to many ancient mosques and churches. Just want to relax? Walk along the four miles of white-sand beach or indulge in treatments from the resort’s spa. Each evening, relax in the open-air bar and dining room, which specializes in wonderful seafood cuisine. Overnights at The Driftwood...BD each day

Malindi / Nairobi

Accommodations at The Driftwood are in basic but clean and comfortable individual air-conditioned cottages with en suite bathroom and small veranda. Rooms vary in size and views are either of the sea or the tropical gardens, close to the swimming pool and beach. There are no televisions in the rooms, but Wi-Fi is available in the lobby. With its warm casual atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff, The Driftwood is an ideal spot for some relaxing down time before returning to the workaday world.
