Day 1
Nairobi / Lamu or Manda Island
From Nairobi, fly to Lamu and transfer by boat to Peponi Hotel on Lamu Island or to Manda Bay on Manda Island. The remainder of the day is free to relax and begin enjoying your surroundings.
Days 2-3
Peponi Hotel or Manda Bay
Both of these island beach hotels have a relaxed atmosphere and offer a number of optional activities, including snorkeling, water skiing, fishing, and more. You can also book a tour to Lamu Town on Lamu Island. Once a trading post for the Sultanate of Oman, the town, now a World Heritage Site, is steeped in Arabic history and Swahili culture. It was once the richest center of culture on the East African coast.
Day 4
Depart
The morning is free to savor your last moments in this tropical paradise. After lunch at the hotel, take a late afternoon flight back to Nairobi. After dinner, transfer to the airport for homeward-bound flight or onto your next adventure.
