Candelaria del Monte

San Miguel de Monte, Argentina

At this delightful, intimate six-room estancia, the honey comes from the estancia’s own bees, the eggs from the chickens, and the fruits and veggies from the organic garden. This is a tranquil place to enjoy long walks, horseback rides (even if you're a novice), feeding the llamas, a nature walk at the lagoon, and evening stargazing in the Southern Hemisphere. The estancia itself is set in beautiful grounds away from everything, and the house is full of character and rustic charm. The Candelaria del Monte was on National Geographic Traveler's "Favorite Hotel in Latin America" list in 2011.
