2010 Total Solar Eclipse in Tahiti Photo Gallery

In July, 2010, Wilderness Travel hosted a wonderfully successful Total Solar Eclipse in Tahiti program aboard the luxurious Paul Gauguin. As we sailed the turquoise seas of French Polynesia with our esteemed Guest Speakers, the mobility of our ship paid rich dividends as the captain maneuvered us into a clear viewing position on Eclipse Day. We enjoyed four minutes and two seconds of “totality”—an awesome celestial phenomenon in a glorious setting. This was our 10th total solar eclipse, in 17 different locations, all viewed successfully! Along the way, the Polynesian culture was welcoming and the snorkeling was out of this world.
