Everest Trekkers' Lodges

Khumbu Region, Nepal

These rustic but comfortable and cozy trekkers' lodges are owned by the local Sherpa families of the Khumbu, and are a wonderful way to experience Sherpa hospitality. For this trek we’ve chosen the most well situated lodges, each a day’s hike apart from the other. At night you’ll have a private room and enjoy delicious meals prepared by your cook staff. Our top notch Sherpa crew accompanies you each day on the trail and carries most of the gear (you’ll only need to carry your own daypack with trailside essentials—jacket, water, camera, etc.). Most of the lodges feature private bathrooms (two have shared bathrooms). The lodges provide clean linens, but we also provide our own high-quality sleeping bags if you’d prefer them.

In Namche Bazaar we stay at the Panorama Lodge (Days 4-5). Located slightly above the village toward the top of the amphitheater-shaped bowl that Namche Baazar sits in, this wonderful Sherpa lodge provides a quiet cozy haven from the bustle of the busy bazaar and lodges below, while providing the best views of the Himalayan giants surrounding you. The lodge is owned by Sherap Jangbu Sherpa, who is one of our beloved trek Sirdars, and his wife, Lakpa Doma Sherpa, and they always treat our trip members with the warmest hospitality—almost like family. Rooms feature a private bath and solar shower with hot water—a real treat! Laundry service is also available.
