Sea of Cortez Camp—Isla Espiritu

Sea of Cortez, Mexico

Our Sea of Cortez camp, set on a beautiful white-sand beach on Isla Espiritu, is a little bit of an island paradise, just steps from the water and nestled in a protected cove. Our tents are comfortable (though you may want to sleep outside to take advantage of the tremendous star-filled skies), a shade tarp is provided for taking breaks from the sun, and a porta-potty is set in a secluded spot. You can bathe in the sea using biodegradable soap and rinse off using fresh water from our solar shower. Meals are served buffet-style, with a wonderful array of fresh Mexican and American dishes. Our camp crew does all the prepping and cooking, but you can help out if you like—it’s a great way to practice your Spanish! Our support skiffs allow us to bring lots of fresh produce and plenty of drinks—along with the ice to keep it all chilled. And nothing says “happy hour” better than ice-cold margaritas on the beach at sunset!
