Shelburne Lodge

Kenmare, Ireland

The original home of William Petty Fitzmaurice (Lord Shelburne), this mid-18th century stone manor house offers all the comforts of a traditional country house (including terrific breakfasts)—Irish hospitality at its best! Each guest room has its own charm and is furnished with lovely antiques. In addition to being a gracious and welcoming hostess, the owner, Maureen Foley, is a renowned cook and has been at the center of the Irish Slow Food movement for years (we usually have a special scone baking class with her).
