Ideally situated within Tikal National Park, this lodge offers the closest accommodations to the temples and pyramids—it’s just a 10-minute walk from the entrance! The main lodge building houses the reception area, dining room, bar, and lounge, while paved footpaths lead to the bungalow accommodations with en suite bathrooms, hot water, and ceiling fans. The jungle canopy above keeps the rooms cool and each bungalow has its own private porch. Expect to see (and hear) toucans, parrots, oscillated turkeys, and howler and spider monkeys making their way through the lodge grounds. And don’t forget a quick dip in the pool—a great refresher after a day exploring the ruins of Tikal.
