Yosi Ya’ari, born in Israel, grew up on various kibbutzim and also spent several years living in Canada with his family. After graduating from an agricultural high school near Gadera, he served with distinction as a Company Commander in the Paratroopers. Yosi earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and worked for several years as a production manager at a factory. He also worked for three years as the site manager of the archaeological excavation at Gamla, but since the 1970s, his greatest pleasure has been exploring Israel and introducing his home country to visitors. He eventually took the guide course at Haifa University and has been a full time certified guide in Israel, Sinai, and Jordan since 1991. Yosi is also a certified scuba diving instructor and a ski instructor. His daughter is the founder and choreographer of a dance program for the Ethiopian community in Israel and his son is studying to become a tour guide.
Yosi is a gem! The best guide we have ever had. So knowledgeable and passionate about Israel.
Yosi made our trip an amazing experience. His insights on the country were wonderful and his ability to truly find the flavor of the country was amazing. I think the trip owed its success to our guide. Can't say enough.
