Johnston Ramsden

Johnston Ramsden was born in Maun, Botswana, and later schooled at Lobatse, where he showed his early interest in wildlife as captain of the local natural history club. He served in Botswana's one-year national service program, where among his other duties he tutored elderly citizens who had not had the opportunity to go to school. His passion for wildlife eventually led him to joined the profession of safari guide, and he obtained his full certification in 1993. He has guided for many years and is a fantastic ornithologist as well as an avid soccer player and supporter of Botswana's national soccer team. He lives in Maun with his wife and two children.
