Scott McMillan
Scott McMillan has a BS in Forestry from Austin State University in Texas, with an emphasis on Wildlife Management. He has spent the last several years in Uganda running wildlife conservation projects, including transmigration and behaviorial research on elephants in Queen Elizabeth National Park, a gorilla census at Bwindi National Park, and helping to maintain the first electric fence in Kidepo Valley National Park to preserve near-extinct regional species (such as giraffe, eland, and roan antelope). Scott knows Bwindi National Park well and loves living in Uganda. He has kayaked the Nile, rafted the Zambezi, climbed Mt. Kenya and Kilimanjaro, and gone swimming in the three great lakes of Africa: Victoria, Malawi, and Tanganyika. When not guiding, he operates the Kidepo Zebra Project, aimed at saving the last remaining zebras in Uganda’s Kidepo Valley National Park.
