Bhala Kaji Magar
Born in Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa “capital,” Bhala Kaji Magar graduated with studies in English, sociology, and anthropology and decided to take on the life of a trekking guide in his local mountains. He completed numerous training courses with Nepal’s Tourism Board and has been a trek leader for over 10 years, starting when he was just 20 years old. A veteran of many treks to Everest Base Camp and in the Annapurna region, Bhala is the father of twin daughters and enjoys playing soccer and guitar.
